At Aptitude Massage, I am committed to providing high-quality service. To ensure a smooth experience for all clients, please review the following policies before your appointment.
Cancellation and No- show Policy:
You’re required to give 24-hour notice of cancellations. Anything within that window, there will be a 50% cancellation fee of the original amount. That 50% is to cover cost for time lost. Once a new appointment is rescheduled, that 50% becomes a downpayment for the next session and the rescheduled appointment will be discounted appropriately (50%). The cancellation fee must be paid before rescheduling the next appointment. Warnings for first time infractions or true emergencies will be considered.
Rescheduling Policy:
You’re required to give 24-hour notice of rescheduling. Anything within that window will have the same procedure as a cancellation. You will be charged 50% of the original amount and once that is paid, you will be able to reschedule the appointment. Anything outside of 24 hours, there will be no penalty for rescheduling. To reschedule outside of 24 hours, simply go to the booking website and edit appointment.
Late Arrival Policy:
To respect my time and any clients that might be coming in after you, if you arrive late for your session, the duration of your session will be cut short. There will be grace if scheduling allows it but, more importantly, it’s about accountability. To minimize this occurrence, I always suggest clients arrive 5-10 minutes early.
Membership Terms:
1. You are only allowed to join once per year. If membership is cancelled and renewed, the new rate might not be the same membership rate you were previously paying depending on updated pricing for the business. In other words, your previous rate is not guaranteed upon renewal.
2. You are allowed to pause your membership for 2 consecutive months, if needed. After 2 months, your membership will be revoked, and you will be required to renew your membership. This rate may not be the same as it previously was depending on whether there was any update to price or membership cost.
3. You are required to give one month’s notice prior to your next bill payment (the first of the month) for any cancellation. There is no penalty for cancelling your membership outside of that one-month window. The only penalty for cancelling within one month is you’ll have to endure one more session with me as full payment for the month will be collected the next billing cycle.
4. You are allowed to gift your credit[s] to family or friends in the form of a gift certificate. They will be required to fill out all appropriate paperwork, but the transfer or credit is painless and easy. This practice is allowed 3 times in a calendar year. Gift certificates expire 4 months after it is transferred.
Unused Credits Policy:
Unused credits are good for one year. After a year, that credit will expire. You are allowed to redeem that credit at any time in that calendar year. You are allowed to gift that credit to family or friends if you choose. (They will be required to fill out all necessary online intake forms before their session.) If too many credits are accumulated, there might be a conversation about if this partnership is a good fit. I don’t want to waste anyone’s time or resources. Once 4 credits are accumulated, the conversation about a no penalty cancellation will follow.
Refund Policy:
There is a no refund policy on any full session including memberships. Any purchased appointment or membership credit can be transferred or gifted to family or friend, but there is no other exception to this policy.
Inappropriate Conduct Policy:
Aptitude provides professional therapeutic massage with a focus on healing, recovery, and performance. Any inappropriate behavior, sexual advances, or suggestive comments will result in immediate termination of the session and full payment will be required. Future appointments will be permanently denied.
Tipping Policy:
As in most service industry professions, tipping is never expected but always appreciated. My prices are a reflection of my worth and if you decide that it was worth more, that is entirely up to you!
